Anya’s starting to really read real books. Anya’s really starting to really read real books. When we leave Saturday morning for a our weekly breakfast at Starbucks and grab the newspaper to read, Anya picks up a book, “Angelina and Alice”, to read while she’s there.
Girls learn about knock-knock jokes from Backyardigans. The girls have learned about knock-knock jokes from the TV show The Backyardigans. The show included the Banana/Orange joke, which Anya loves retelling. Liya likes this joke too, but doesn’t quite get the concept. The way she tells it, the punchline of the joke is “and then Austin [a character on show] laughed and laughed and laughed”.
